Our Surgeon

Dr Douglas McManamny

Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Dr McManamny was born in Melbourne and attended school there.  After graduating in medicine from Monash University he began his surgical training at Prince Henry’s Hospital.

Following completion of his general surgical studies overseas he returned to Melbourne to a position in the Plastic Surgery training scheme.  This involved work at the Royal Children’s Hospital, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit at Preston and Northcote Hospital.

A post at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, England, with work in Cleft Lip and Palate repair was followed by a final return to Melbourne and a consultant position at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

With the development of the Aesthetic Surgery and Laser Centre and Day Procedure Centre in East Malvern, Dr McManamny’s work has focused more on elective cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. 

Following a recent move from East Malvern to Toorak, although there is no longer an operating theatre on site, the range of procedures and services remains the same.
