Anti-Wrinkle Treatments: What does the procedure involve?

Dr. McManamny will determine where to administer the cosmetic injections by examining your ability to move certain muscles in your eye and brow area. The location, size, and use of the muscles that create 'crows feet' or a furrowed brow vary markedly among individuals.

No anaesthetic is required, but it is possible to numb the area with a cold pack or anaesthetic cream if preferred. A series of fine injections will be administered while you relax in a reclining chair. Most patients compare the sensation to a pin-prick.

Treatment for severe underarm sweating

Severe underarm sweating that is not adequately managed with deodorants may be controlled by a series of tiny injections administered to the entire underarm area.

By temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands, the severe sweating stops.

Treatment for eyebrow shaping

A welcome side effect of our anti-wrinkle treatment is the ability to improve the shape of eyebrows. Careful placement of the tiny injections above and below the brows enables the surgeon to create a rounded, arched or flared brow shape.

Anti-Wrinkle Treatments: Duration

The procedure takes approximately ten minutes. There's no recovery time needed, and normal activities can be resumed immediately.

Within days, you may notice an improvement in the frown lines that can last up to four months. We recommend a treatment every four to five months to help maintain the results. If treatment is discontinued, the frown lines will gradually look like they did before treatment.

Charges begin at $360 for one area, such as the glabella region between the brows.
Medicare rebates do not apply.
