Dermal Fillers

We offer a choice of dermal fillers to correct moderate to severe facial lines and creases, and restore volume and fullness to the lips.

Dermal Fillers: What do the procedures involve?

Collagen-based dermal fillers

Collagen treatment is a safe, non-surgical procedure that softens lines and furrows on the face and boosts the volume of the lips. As some patients may develop an allergy to the product, a skin test is required to determine its suitability.

Tiny quantities of manufactured collagen are injected through very fine needles, boosting the skin's natural collagen to provide structural support. Results are soft and natural looking, with minimal discomfort experienced during application.

Hylauronic acid gel fillers

Hyaluronic acid is a non-animal-based, natural substance similar to that already existing in the human body. No skin test is required, and results are immediate. Some patients prefer a local anaesthetic to numb the area to be treated; others describe the treatment as a quick pin prick.

The gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. This produces volume that smoothes the wrinkle or fold, shapes the facial contour or enhances the lips in a natural way.

The result is instantaneous and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement, gentle and safe to the skin, leaving no scars on the face.

Dermal Fillers: Duration

Each treatment lasts around 30 minutes. Our trained nurse offers a full consultation prior to the first treatment to explain each product, assess which areas require treatment, and determine which product is most suitable for each client's needs.

The benefits of treatments can last up to six months or longer with evidence that having a touch-up treatment before the product has fully dissipated enhances the lasting effect.

Dermal Fillers: Recovery

Slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation may be experienced immediately after the treatment. This is a normal result of the injection. The discomfort is temporary and generally disappears in a few days.

A touch-up treatment within two to four weeks after the initial treatment may be necessary to achieve an optimal correction.

Charges range from $275-550, depending on the product and the area treated.
